Get ready for a grand celebration in Pune as Hindustan’s first Ganpati mandal, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Trust, gears up for a spectacular procession to welcome Lord Ganesh. Popular singer Padma Shri Kailash Kher will be installing the Ganesh idol at 12.30 pm on Saturday, September 7.

According to Celebration Chief and Trustee Punit Balan, the day will kick off with Bappa’s Aarti at 8.10 am on Ganesh Chaturthi. The procession will feature traditional games like Lathi-Kathi, conch blowing, and seven Dhol-Tasha pathaks, including Shivmudra, Vadyavrund, and Shree, saluting in front of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan.

In a break from tradition after 132 years, the procession chariot will not be pulled by bullocks but by mandal workers. The highlight of the day will be Padma Shri Kailash Kher’s installation of the Ganesh idol at 12.30 pm, followed by other exciting programs.

In a statement, Punit Balan urged all Ganesh Bhakts to join in the festivities and witness the grandeur of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati procession. Don’t miss out on this unique and joyous celebration!
