If you live in Pune, you may have noticed some disturbances caused by commercial establishments in residential areas like Kalyani Nagar. Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar (TSKN) recently met with District Collector Suhas Divase to address these ongoing issues. The focus was on the need for government agencies to take action and enforce regulations.
Residents have been demanding stricter monitoring and enforcement by civic authorities such as the PMC, Police, Excise Department, and MPCB. They are concerned about the negative impact that these violations have on their quality of life. The issue of granting licenses to businesses within residential areas was also raised, leading to discussions on rolling back operating hours to reduce disturbances.
During the meeting, TSKN representatives submitted formal letters outlining their concerns and demands. The Collector expressed support for their cause and promised to work towards curbing non-compliance and supporting residents’ appeals. Moving forward, there will be a focus on ensuring compliance by operators and continuous monitoring by authorities.
The TSKN Managing Trustees reiterated their commitment to working with authorities to improve the situation in Kalyani Nagar and other affected areas. It seems like positive steps are being taken to address these issues and protect the interests of residents.
