Residents of Lane Number 2, Vrindavan Society in Kharadi are currently facing a water crisis, with no water supply for the past four days. This comes after months of low water pressure in the area, leaving citizens frustrated, especially during the festive season.
Around 15 to 20 households have been experiencing inconsistent and low-pressure water supply for months, with residents reaching out to the ward office and the Water Supply Department of the PMC for help, but to no avail. The situation has escalated to the point where residents are now forced to buy water from private suppliers at inflated prices during Navaratri.
Residents have expressed their disappointment with the lack of action taken by authorities despite numerous complaints and requests for a regular and adequate water supply. Some have even threatened to organize a protest march if the situation does not improve soon.
Anwar Mulla, a Junior Engineer from the Water Supply Department of PMC, has attributed the current water shortage to repair work on a damaged water channel that was caused during road construction. He assured residents that steps are being taken to resolve the issue and restore water supply to Vrindavan Society.
The residents of Vrindavan Society in Kharadi are hopeful that the water supply issue will be resolved soon to alleviate their current struggles.
