Leopard Attack Shocks Residents of Khadakwadi
The quiet town of Khadakwadi in Ambegaon taluka was thrown into chaos on Wednesday night when a leopard attacked three motorcycles near the local crematorium. The incident, which occurred around 7.45 pm, left a 17-year-old girl injured and the community on high alert.

According to eyewitness accounts, the leopard, accompanied by its two cubs, launched a surprise attack on the unsuspecting riders. While the first two motorcyclists managed to escape unharmed, the third motorcycle was not as lucky. Siblings Omkar Machhindra Doke and Shreya Machhindra Doke were riding when the leopard pounced, biting Shreya on her left leg.

Fortunately, Omkar was able to speed away from the scene, preventing further harm to his sister. Shreya was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment before being transferred to Manchar Subdistrict Hospital for further care.

Forest officials, led by Forester Sonal Bhalerao and the Leopard Rapid Action Force, were quick to respond to the incident. They have since advised residents to exercise caution as leopard activity in the area appears to be on the rise.
