Hey Pune folks, exciting news for all you experimental artists out there! The Maharashtra Cultural Centre, in partnership with Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash, has launched a new initiative called ‘Stage Is All Yours.’ This program aims to provide a professional stage at minimal charges for artists looking to showcase their talent.
According to Rajesh Deshmukh, Secretary of the Maharashtra Cultural Centre, many artists face financial constraints that prevent them from performing regularly. With ‘Stage Is All Yours,’ artists from Pune and beyond can now access the venue at Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash on Tilak Road and bring their artistic vision to life.
The response to this initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, with several performances already scheduled for the upcoming month. One of the highlights includes the Kathak Institute’s ‘Choreography Kaleidoscope’ on October 21.
But that’s not all – the Maharashtra Cultural Centre is also launching ‘Rasarth,’ a literature-focused initiative featuring discussions, recitations, and artist interactions. This event will take place on the third Friday of every month at Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash, and best of all, it’s open to the public free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
So if you’re an experimental artist or just looking to immerse yourself in the arts scene, be sure to check out ‘Stage Is All Yours’ and ‘Rasarth’ at Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash. Let’s support our local artists and make Pune a hub for creativity and culture!
