1. So, folks, it looks like the first GBS-related death has hit Solapur, and it’s definitely a cause for concern. The patient had traveled from Pune, and since then, we’ve seen six more deaths in Pune and one in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Yikes.
  2. The health department officials are reporting a total of 203 cases across the state, with a whopping 176 confirmed as GBS. Pune city is leading the pack with 41 cases, followed by the newly merged villages with a whopping 94 cases. Pimpri-Chinchwad is not far behind with 29 cases, while Pune’s rural areas have 31 cases. Other districts have reported eight cases combined.
  3. Right now, there are 52 patients in intensive care, with 20 of them on ventilators. On a brighter note, 109 patients have recovered and been discharged. Let’s hope those numbers keep going up!
  4. Let’s break it down by age group, shall we? We’ve got 24 cases each in the 0-9 and 10-19 age groups, 44 in the 20-29 range, 24 in the 30-39 bracket, 27 in the 40-49 category, 29 in the 50-59 group, 21 in the 60-69 range, 6 in the 70-79 bracket, and 4 in the 80-89 group. That adds up to a total of 203 cases. Stay safe out there, everyone!
