Have you heard about the townships in Pune district facing water supply issues? Well, it seems like residents are not too happy about it. Out of the 30 townships in the area, 13 are located in Pune district itself, with the rest scattered across the Konkan region.

Currently, there are 13 townships under construction, and developers are required to get clearance from the irrigation department for water allocation. But it seems like that’s not enough to keep the residents satisfied. Many have been complaining about the lack of basic civic amenities, especially when it comes to water supply.

One resident from Hinjawadi expressed their frustration, stating that government-promoted integrated townships are being neglected in terms of basic amenities. Another resident highlighted the importance of water conservation practices like rainwater harvesting.

To address these concerns, a committee has been set up to register complaints about inadequate potable water and present them to the state government. They will also assess construction progress and ensure compliance with the integrated township policy.

It looks like the residents are not going to stay quiet about this issue. Let’s hope that their voices are heard and necessary actions are taken to improve the situation in these townships.
