Hey there, folks! Today we’ve got some exciting news in the world of real estate regulation in Maharashtra. MahaRERA, the regulatory body for real estate projects in the state, has recently made some changes that are set to benefit developers and streamline the registration process.
One of the major updates is the reduction of the minimum requirement for Self-Regulating Organizations (SROs) in areas outside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) from 500 projects to 200. This means that more real estate associations across the state will now be able to form SROs, providing better support to developers.
Since its establishment in May 2017, MahaRERA has given the green light to over 48,000 projects in Maharashtra, including around 225 projects in the union territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli. As part of its ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, MahaRERA has been hosting open houses to make the project registration process more user-friendly.
Chairman Manoj Saunik highlighted the importance of these open houses in addressing developers’ queries face-to-face, ensuring a smoother experience for project registration. It’s all about making things easier and more accessible for everyone involved in the real estate industry.
So, there you have it – some positive changes happening in the realm of real estate regulation in Maharashtra. Stay tuned for more updates on how MahaRERA continues to make a difference in the industry!
