Hey folks, here’s a cautionary tale for you – always be wary of promises that seem too good to be true! In a shocking incident in Pune, a man fell victim to a scam where he was cheated out of ₹10 lakh on the promise of a job in the railways.

According to reports, the accused in this case is one Rajesh Dinkar Rajguru, a 50-year-old resident of Nashik. The victim, who hails from Chinchwad, first met Rajguru back in 2021. Rajguru, claiming to have connections with railway officials, assured the victim that he could secure a job for his acquaintance.

Taking Rajguru at his word, the victim paid a whopping ₹10 lakh in multiple installments, both in cash and online. However, despite receiving the payment, Rajguru failed to deliver on his promise. To add insult to injury, he even went as far as sending a fake appointment letter for the position of health inspector in the railways to the victim.

Thankfully, the victim smelled something fishy and upon further investigation, it was revealed that the appointment letter was nothing but a forgery. Realizing that he had been duped, the victim lodged a complaint with the Bundgarden police station in Pune City.

Now, Police Sub-Inspector Chavan is on the case, conducting a thorough investigation into this deceitful act. Let this serve as a reminder to always be cautious and do your due diligence before falling for any promises of easy money or jobs. Stay safe out there, Pune!
