Pune was on high alert as the police launched a search operation for a missing 10-year-old girl, Shravani Ravindra Gawali. The young girl went missing on her way home from school on the 20th of December, sparking concern among her family and local authorities.
Luckily, with the help of CCTV footage and a tip-off from the Anti-Extortion Squad, the police were able to track down Shravani in the Alandi Devachi area. She was found safe and sound, much to the relief of her worried parents.
Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar played a crucial role in identifying Shravani in the CCTV footage, which showed her boarding a PMPML bus at Trimurti Chowk in Dhankawadi. Assistant Police Inspector Prashant Sande received valuable information about Shravani’s whereabouts, leading the team to the Alandi Devachi area.
Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar commended the efforts of the local police and Crime Branch in locating Shravani and reuniting her with her family. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of community involvement and swift action in cases of missing persons.
