MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) in Pune has teamed up with Dassault Systèmes La Fondation to introduce two exciting new courses for medical professionals. The first course, “Enhancing 3D Competencies of Medical Scholars,” offers a week-long training program for medical students to learn about 3D printing, scanning, and software. The second course, “Medico-Engino Hackathon,” brings together students from engineering and medical backgrounds for a three-day event focused on collaborative problem-solving.

According to Prof. Ganesh Kakandikar, the hackathon involves teams of three engineering students and two medical students working together on challenges to create innovative solutions. The goal of these programs is to cultivate future scientists and entrepreneurs by combining the expertise of both engineering and medical fields.

MIT-WPU and Dassault Systèmes La Fondation aim to develop a new generation of medical professionals who are skilled in advanced technologies. By providing hands-on experience with 3D printing and organizing interdisciplinary hackathons, these courses are creating opportunities for students to drive innovation in healthcare.
