Hey Pune peeps! Get ready for some major graduation vibes as MIT World Peace University (MIT WPU) gears up for its 6th convocation ceremony happening today, October 19, 2024, at 4 PM. The venue? None other than the beautiful Vishwa Sabhamandap, World Peace Dome, nestled in Vishwaraj Bagh, Lonikalbhor, Pune.
So, what can you expect from this grand event? Well, a whopping total of 5,369 students will be walking away with degrees in hand, covering a wide range of disciplines. And let’s not forget about the honors being bestowed upon some exceptional individuals. Dr. Krishnaswami Vijay Raghavan, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, will be receiving the prestigious “MIT WPU Vigyan Maharshi Samman” for his outstanding work in the field of science. Abhijit Pawar and Anushree Kulkarni will also be recognized with special medals.
As if that wasn’t enough, the ceremony will be graced by none other than Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the chief guest, along with other dignitaries like Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad and Prof. PB Joshi.
