Hey Pune folks, get ready to dig a little deeper into your pockets as MNGL has decided to bump up the prices of CNG starting from tomorrow. Yep, you heard it right – you’ll be shelling out an extra ₹1.50 per kilogram, making the new retail price ₹85.0 per kilogram.

So, why the sudden price hike, you ask? Well, MNGL blames it on the increasing input costs of natural gas. Apparently, they’re having to source additional market-priced gas, including pricier imported gas, due to a shortfall in domestic allocation. This, in turn, has driven up the cost of natural gas for the CNG segment, prompting MNGL to pass on some of that burden to consumers.

But hey, before you start cursing under your breath, MNGL wants you to know that CNG is still a pretty sweet deal compared to petrol and diesel. In fact, you’re looking at savings of around 50% compared to petrol and 28% compared to diesel, especially for passenger cars and auto-rickshaws in Pune.

Don’t worry, though – if you’re a PNG user, your prices will remain untouched. So, take note of the price revision and be prepared to pay a little extra at the pump. Let’s hope this is just a temporary bump in the road!
