Mobile shop owner at Pavillion Mall cheated of Rs 1.12 lakh by customer claiming to have paid online

1. Shop owner at Pune mall falls victim to mobile phone scam, loses over Rs 1.12 lakh.
2. Incident occurred at Pavillion Mall on Senapati Bapat Road between April 24-26, 2024.
3. Shivam Anant Valgude (22) from Ambegaon Budruk files complaint at Chatuhshrungi Police Station.
4. Case registered against Vijay Bhalerao under section 420 of the IPC.
5. Accused booked three mobile phones online, claimed to have paid but failed to do so.
6. Complainant demanded money, received partial payment of Rs 20,000.
7. Accused’s mother promised to pay remaining amount but never did.
8. Valgude approached police after realizing he was cheated.
9. Investigation ongoing to catch the scammer.
