Hey folks! Big news coming out of Pune today. Manorama Khedkar, the mother of probationary IAS Officer Puja Khedkar, has been arrested by Pune Rural Police in Mahad. She was brought to Pune, underwent a medical test, and appeared in court. The police requested 7 days of custody, but the court granted 3 days until 20th July.
This all started when Puja Khedkar caused a stir by putting a red beacon and “Maharashtra Government” on her private Audi. Allegations started pouring in, from a fake disability certificate to abuse of power. Videos of her mother threatening a farmer and clashing with police went viral, leading to her arrest today.
In a new development, IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) has been added to the farmer intimidation case. Things are getting serious for Manorama Khedkar. The police are keen to find her husband, Dilip Khedkar, who is on the run. They are also looking for the pistol used in the incident and details about the Khedkar family’s land in Mulshi Taluka.
