In a letter to Pune Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale, MP Kulkarni called for urgent action to compensate affected residents and to enhance preparations for potential future rain-related challenges.

These recommendations included actions against unauthorized constructions, regular cleaning of rainwater drains, increasing riverbed depth, clearing blocked drains, enforcing rainwater harvesting, and maintaining expected drain widths to prevent waterlogging and property damage.
By emphasizing the importance of these preventive measures, MP Kulkarni aims to ensure the safety and well-being of Pune’s residents and improve the city’s infrastructure resilience in the face of heavy rains.
