Cybage, a construction company based in Pune, has recently come under fire from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) for alleged environmental violations. The board accused the company of not taking precautions to control air and noise pollution during excavation, drilling, and blasting activities. They also pointed out the absence of a compound wall or wind-breaking wall around the project site and the lack of barricades near neighboring buildings.

In addition, Cybage was accused of discharging water from excavation activities into a nearby nullah, which could potentially affect the surrounding areas. After an inspection by a sub-regional officer, a report was filed, leading MPCB to consider legal action against the company.

If Cybage does not respond to the notice or comply with the conditions set by MPCB, the board has warned of legal consequences. The concerns raised by local residents about the company’s construction activities have prompted this official intervention. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
