Hey Pune peeps, here’s some hot news for you! The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has decided to postpone the state services preliminary examination that was supposed to happen on August 25. Why, you ask? Well, it was clashing with the IBPS exam and that just wasn’t going to fly with the lakhs of aspirants who were gearing up for both tests.

Initially, the MPSC rejected the demand to postpone the prelims but after some serious agitation from the candidates, they had a change of heart. A meeting was held on Thursday and the decision was made to push back the state services preliminary exams. Phew, crisis averted!

The agitation kicked off in the city on Tuesday night and even some MVA leaders hopped on the bandwagon. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis even stepped in to request the MPSC chairperson to reconsider the demand. NCP (SP) leaders like Supriya Sule and MLA Rohit Pawar, along with Congress MLA Ravindra Dhangekar, showed their support for the cause. Rohit Pawar even camped out with the agitators all night long. Talk about dedication!

The clash between the MPSC exam and the IBPS exam had candidates in a real pickle. Many of them had been prepping for both exams for ages and were faced with the tough decision of choosing one over the other. Thankfully, the MPSC has come through and a new date for the state services preliminary exam will be announced soon. Crisis averted, folks!
