As Ganeshotsav approaches in just four days, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is gearing up to facilitate travel to Konkan for the festival. With approximately 5,000 buses operating statewide, including 325 buses specifically scheduled to depart from Pune, the MSRTC is prepared to handle the influx of passengers.

Extra buses will be added if there is significant crowding at stations, ensuring all passengers have a chance to travel. Passengers have already begun booking their tickets both online and at local depots in anticipation of the festival.

Buses will start departing from Pune to Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, and other Konkan cities on Wednesday, September 4. The peak departure day is expected to be Thursday, September 5, with around 200 buses scheduled to leave from Swargate Station alone.

Swargate Station will have 250 buses departing, while Vallabhnagar Station will have 75 buses. Buses on less responsive routes will also be redirected to Konkan to handle the increased demand.

The MSRTC’s comprehensive planning ensures that passengers traveling to Konkan for Ganeshotsav will have ample transport options, contributing to a smooth and festive journey.
