Hey there, Pune commuters! Big news coming your way from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). Get ready to meet ‘Shivneri Sundari’, the new hostess who will be assisting passengers on e-Shivneri buses running between Mumbai and Pune.

During a recent board of directors meeting led by MSRTC Chairman Bharat Gogawale, it was decided that ‘Shivneri Sundari’ will be introduced to enhance the overall service experience for passengers. And the best part? There won’t be any extra charges added to your ticket prices.

But that’s not all. In honor of the late Anand Dighe, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has proposed the establishment of “Anand Arogya Kendra” at 343 MSRTC stations. This clinic will offer a range of health tests and medications at affordable prices for both passengers and local residents.

Looking for more good news? New ST depots are set to be built in Mul (Chandrapur district) and Dharni (Amravati district), catering to the tribal communities in those areas. And here’s a cool twist – each ST depot will have a stall for women’s self-help groups to sell their local products at a nominal fee.

And there’s even more! The board meeting also gave the green light for the purchase of 2,500 new simple buses and the conversion of 100 diesel buses to electric buses as part of a pilot project. Exciting times ahead for public transportation in Maharashtra!

So, keep an eye out for these changes on your next bus journey. ‘Shivneri Sundari’ and the new health clinics are just around the corner, making your commute smoother and more comfortable. Stay tuned for more updates from MSRTC!
