With Ganeshotsav just around the corner, the MSRTC is gearing up to accommodate the influx of passengers heading to Konkan to celebrate the festival. Around 5,000 buses from the state and 325 from Pune have been planned, with extra buses on standby in case of overcrowding.

Passengers have already started booking their tickets online and at the depot for the journey, which is set to begin on Wednesday from Pune. The bulk of the buses will depart to Konkan on Thursday, with as many as 200 buses scheduled to run from Swargate station.

Vallabhnagar Station will see 75 buses departing, while Swargate Station will have 250 buses ready to go. Buses on less popular routes will also be sent to Konkan to ensure smooth transportation for all passengers. It looks like this year’s Ganeshotsav will be a busy one for the MSRTC!
