Hey folks, big news coming out of Pune today! The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to pull the plug on its Shivshahi bus service. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out these buses have been plagued with technical issues and have been causing quite a stir among passengers.

It all came to a head after a tragic incident in Gondia where 11 lives were lost in an accident involving a Shivshahi bus. Yikes! That’s definitely not something you want to hear about your preferred mode of transportation.

The problems with the Shivshahi buses have been brewing for a while now. Despite warnings about structural and technical flaws, MSRTC didn’t take action until the complaints started piling up. Now, they’ve finally decided to do something about it.

Out of the 892 Shivshahi buses in operation, only 500 are currently on the road. The rest are grounded for repairs. But fear not, folks! MSRTC has a plan. They’re going to revamp these buses and turn them into ‘Lalpari’ buses, which are a simpler, non-air-conditioned alternative.

The makeover will involve getting rid of the AC units, switching out the fancy glass windows for standard ones, and fixing up the seats and structural issues that have been causing problems for drivers. The goal is to make these buses safer and more reliable for everyone involved.

So, say goodbye to the Shivshahi buses and hello to the Lalpari buses! It’s the end of an era, but hopefully, this change will lead to smoother rides for all. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
