Hey folks, it looks like Mumbai is in for a wet weekend! Heavy rain and thunder hit the city on Thursday evening, causing chaos for commuters trying to get home from work. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, warning residents to brace for more rain and thunderstorms in the coming days.

But it’s not just Mumbai that’s getting drenched – other parts of Maharashtra are also experiencing a change in weather. Eleven districts in Vidarbha saw significant rainfall on the 9th and 10th of October, with more expected in areas like Khandesh, Nashik, Pune, and Satara over the next couple of days.

The situation is particularly dire for farmers, as the rain is expected to continue during the crucial harvesting period. The IMD has urged caution in Kolhapur and Satara, where heavy rainfall is predicted.

Even areas like Palghar, Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri are likely to see rain over the next 24 hours. Mumbai and Konkan, on the other hand, can expect lighter showers until Sunday, 13th October.

So, it looks like we’re in for a wet and wild weekend, folks. Stay safe out there and don’t forget your umbrellas!
