The false alarm originated from a social media account under the name “Adam Alanza 1000,” who sent threatening messages to Indigo Airlines, claiming that explosives were planted on various flights.
Passengers on routes from Patna, Bangalore, and Kolkata to Pune were forced to deboard their planes as security personnel conducted thorough searches. Thankfully, no bombs were found, but the disruption led to significant inconvenience for travelers.
This incident follows similar hoax messages targeting Vistara Airlines, Akasa Airlines, and additional flights operated by Indigo Airlines. The police have launched an investigation into these threats and are working to identify the culprit behind the scare.
