Hey there, folks! Today in Baner, a shocking case of love turned sour has come to light. A 25-year-old computer engineer fell victim to a conman who duped her of a whopping ₹34 lakh under the guise of marriage. The accused, Saish Vinod Jadhav, hailing from Mumbai, managed to weave a web of lies that ultimately led to the financial exploitation of the young woman.

It all started when the victim, residing in a Baner hostel and working in an IT company, registered on a matrimonial website back in 2023. Jadhav swooped in, expressing a keen interest in tying the knot. After a meeting in Baner and a fabricated sob story about his family, the woman fell for his charm.

As time passed, Jadhav concocted tales of debts and impending jail time, coaxing the woman into lending him money. With promises of marriage and a borrowed mobile phone in tow, he managed to extract a staggering ₹33.82 lakh from her over a year and a half. When the woman finally demanded marriage, Jadhav’s true colors were revealed, prompting her to seek help from the Baner police.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident in Pune, a young doctor tragically took her own life after being deceived by a man posing as a suitor. The emotional turmoil caused by the deceit drove her to consume poisonous medicine, leading to her untimely demise. The accused, another doctor from Navi Mumbai, was apprehended by the Bibvewadi police.

These cases serve as a stark reminder of the dangers of online relationships and the importance of staying vigilant in matters of the heart. Let’s hope that justice prevails and that such incidents serve as cautionary tales for others. Stay safe and stay informed, folks!
