1. Oh boy, things are getting heated along Nagar Road! A group is calling out the chaotic and unplanned development of flyovers and grade separators, saying it’s just going to shuffle congestion around without actually fixing anything.
  2. And the lack of preparedness along the 7 km stretch of Nagar Road has got citizens scratching their heads. Can’t we all just get along and coordinate these projects with the existing infrastructure?
  3. Wait a minute, isn’t Pune supposed to be going carbon-neutral? Well, the construction of more flyovers and underpasses seems to be going against that goal. Someone didn’t get the memo.
  4. A recent site visit on August 22 uncovered some major gaps in the planning. No one thought about how all these projects would mesh together, and the traffic police were left in the dark. Yikes!
  5. Formally objecting to this mess, a group submitted a demand for an Integrated Master Plan before construction even starts. Smart move, guys.
  6. But the PMC isn’t exactly jumping to address these concerns. Looks like someone dropped the ball on planning and coordination.
  7. Uh oh, let’s not have a Gokhale Bridge situation here! The Association is warning against repeating past mistakes and demanding some serious changes.

Demands are on the table: a comprehensive master plan, detailed reports, interdepartmental coordination, Traffic Police approval, budget and timeline adherence, halting the NHAI flyover, prioritizing the Riverside Road, scrapping the BRTS corridor, land acquisition, post-completion traffic survey, and halting the Shastri Nagar project until a master plan is in place.

Legal action might be on the horizon if the authorities don’t step up and address these concerns. The clock is ticking, folks!
