The streets of Bavdhan were rocked by a shocking incident involving a senior NCP leader and a real estate developer. Baburao Chandere, a prominent figure in the Ajit Pawar faction of the party, stands accused of physically assaulting Vijay Raundal, a senior citizen and developer. The alleged attack took place in broad daylight at Survey No. 273 in Sus Gaon, under the jurisdiction of the Bavdhan Police Station.
According to Raundal, Chandere trespassed onto his property without warning and began attacking his staff. When Raundal intervened, Chandere allegedly turned his aggression towards him, despite being informed of Raundal’s recent heart surgery and the presence of recording devices. The attack left Raundal with serious head injuries and has left him shaken.
Witnesses at the scene, including staff and contractors, have confirmed Raundal’s account of the incident. Video footage of the assault shows the severity of the attack, with blood visible on Raundal’s head. The incident has sparked outrage, with calls for a thorough investigation and accountability for Chandere’s actions.
Despite the allegations, Chandere has yet to comment on the incident. Raundal, on the other hand, is pushing for swift action from the authorities to ensure justice is served and to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The Bavdhan Police Station officials are currently reviewing the evidence, including the video footage, as part of their ongoing inquiry.
