Prateek Chaturvedi, an NRI from San Francisco, had a travel mishap on Sunday when he missed his flight to Lucknow after going to the old airport terminal instead of the new one. Despite claims that passengers were notified about the terminal change, Chaturvedi stated he received no such notification.

Chaturvedi completed all pre-boarding processes at the old terminal using DigiYatra and only had hand baggage. He received notifications about his flight’s delay but not about the terminal change. After waiting at the wrong gate and receiving no clear answers from airline representatives, a CISF officer informed him that Air India Express operations had moved to the new terminal.

After facing some difficulties exiting the airport, Chaturvedi reached the airline counter too late, and his flight had already departed. The airline apologized and offered a full refund for the inconvenience caused.

Pune airport director Santosh Dhoke mentioned that notices about the terminal shift were posted near the old terminal’s gates, and staff at the ‘May I Help You’ counter were instructed to guide passengers. An official mentioned that communication about the terminal change was sent in advance to all guests, and there were no other issues reported.

It seems like a simple mistake led to a memorable travel experience for Prateek Chaturvedi, who learned the importance of double-checking flight details before heading to the airport.
