Hey Pune peeps, exciting news coming your way! A whopping 1,658 staff members have been appointed for the vote-counting process in Pune district. Yep, you heard that right! This includes 528 micro inspectors, 553 counting supervisors, and 577 counting assistants. And wait, there’s more – 458 reserve officers and staff have also been brought on board, bringing the total number of employees to 2,143. Phew, that’s a lot of people working hard to ensure a smooth voting process.

On 20th November, voting took place at a staggering 8,443 polling stations across the 21 constituencies in Pune district. And guess what? The vote counting is all set to kick off tomorrow at 8 AM. The appointed officers and staff are all geared up and ready to go for their respective constituencies.

Here’s a breakdown of the number of staff appointed for each constituency: Junnar – 87, Ambegaon – 85, Khed Alandi – 77, Shirur – 90, Daund – 57, Indapur – 61, Baramati – 77, Purandar – 59, Bhor – 97, Maval – 66, Chinchwad – 87, Pimpri – 98, Bhosari – 87, Vadgaonsheri – 89, Shivajinagar – 62, Kothrud – 87, Khadakwasla – 80, Parvati – 93, Hadapsar – 93, Pune Cantonment – 60, and Kasba Peth – 66.

And here’s a heads up – the vote-counting results will be announced periodically from the counting centres using loudspeakers. No electronic devices allowed for candidates, election representatives, and counting staff. So, keep those phones, pagers, calculators, tablets, and fancy electronic wristwatches away, folks!
