The Palkhi Ceremony in Dehu is set to be a grand affair with thousands of Warkaris and devotees coming together from all over Maharashtra. The villagers of Dehu Gaon have been working tirelessly to ensure that everything is in place for the ceremony at the temple of Jagatguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj.

Various organizations and local residents along the Palkhi route will be providing food to the Warkaris, thanks to the collaboration between Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Mandir Sansthan, Dehu Nagar Panchayat, and Dehu Road Police.

The Palkhi Ceremony is scheduled to kick off on Friday at 2:30 pm from the Bhajan Mandap, with the arrangements being overseen by President Purushottam Maharaj More and his team.

To avoid traffic congestion between Nigdi and Dehu Road on the old Pune-Mumbai highway, traffic will be diverted to the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass highway on Saturday, with heavy vehicles not allowed to enter Dehu on Friday and Saturday.

The schedule for Friday’s events includes morning aarti at Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Mandir at 4:30 am, Maha Pooja at Shree Vitthal Rakhumai temple at 5:00 am, Maha Pooja at Narayan Maharaj Samadhi temple at 5:30 am, and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Paduka Poojan at Inamdar Wada from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Keertan by Dehukar Maharaj will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the arrival of Tukaram Maharaj’s padukas at Bhajan Mandap at 2:30 pm and the start of the Palkhi ceremony with distinguished guests in attendance.
