In a recent turn of events, a senior PCMC official has come forward to clarify the situation regarding the demolition of a structure near a mosque and madrasa. Contrary to some leaders’ claims, the official stated that no action was taken against the mosque or madrasa itself.

According to the official, the demolished structure was actually a hall that was recently built by the trustee of the educational institute. Despite receiving multiple notices to stop the illegal construction, no action was taken, which ultimately led to the demolition.

On the other hand, the trustee of the madrasa has claimed that the land belonged to them and had been in use since 2002. They mentioned that they had reached out to PCMC after receiving notices, in hopes of legalizing the structure, but unfortunately received no response before the sudden demolition took place.

In a reassuring statement, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandip Doifode confirmed that the situation was under control, with no law-and-order issues reported. This incident sheds light on the importance of following legal procedures and communication channels to avoid such misunderstandings in the future.
