The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has recently introduced a groundbreaking initiative called “Waste to Wonder,” which transforms discarded materials into stunning artworks. The project includes 15 life-sized dinosaur sculptures located in popular parks like the Linear Garden and Rajmata Jijau Garden in Pimple Gurav. These sculptures bring the prehistoric era to life with their impressive design and size.

In addition to the dinosaur sculptures, the project also showcases eight sculptures depicting the evolution of cars from 1886 to 2016. These installations offer a unique look at the history of automotive design, showcasing the advancements made in the industry over the years.

The “Waste to Wonder” project has been completed with an investment of ₹8.01 crore, with the goal of not only enhancing the city’s visual appeal but also attracting tourists by combining art, history, and sustainability. The artworks aim to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of repurposing materials in creative ways.

Overall, the unveiling of these sculptures represents a major achievement for PCMC, demonstrating a commitment to creativity, education, and sustainability in Pune’s public spaces.
