Hey there, folks! Another day, another unfortunate scam story making the rounds, this time in Pune. A photographer from Chennai found himself in a tricky situation after falling victim to a scam that cost him equipment worth a whopping ₹12.85 lakh. Ouch!

So, here’s what went down – the victim, Raghavendra M. Gokul, received an offer for a pre-wedding shoot in Pune and Goa for a cool ₹3 lakh, which included accommodation and travel expenses. Sounds like a sweet deal, right? Well, it turns out it was too good to be true.

The scammers initially gained Raghavendra’s trust by transferring ₹19,000 online. He and his brother then made their way to Pune, only to realize they had been duped when their equipment went missing from their lodge near Pune Railway Station. Talk about a nightmare!

To make matters worse, CCTV footage showed a person making off with the stolen gear. The Aadhaar card used for booking the room had addresses in Nizamabad, Telangana, and Nagpur. The plot thickens!

But fear not, dear readers, as the Bund Garden Police have swooped in to save the day. A case has been registered against two suspects, and Police Sub-Inspector Ganesh Chavan is on the case, leading the investigation. Let’s hope they catch the culprits and bring them to justice!

And there you have it, folks – a cautionary tale of trust gone wrong in the digital age. Stay safe out there and always be wary of too-good-to-be-true offers. Until next time, this is your friendly neighborhood journalist signing off. Stay vigilant, Pune!
