- Despite extensive searches in Alandi, Pune, and Shegaon, her hometown in Buldhana District, her family was unable to locate her due to lack of photos to aid the search.
- After months of unsuccessful attempts, the woman was found during a routine vehicle check in the Talawade IT Park Chowk area by officers from the Talawade Traffic Division under PCPC’s Traffic Branch.
- The driver of the vehicle recognized Laxmi as the missing person and contacted her son, leading to her emotional reunion with her family.
- Locals from the Traffic Branch, Talawade IT Park, and Chakan MIDC area had been caring for Laxmi during the 1.5 years she was missing, providing clothes and medicine as needed.
- Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar, Assistant Police Inspector Madhukar Thorat, and Police Constable Raju Bhosale played key roles in safely reuniting Laxmi with her family.
- The emotional reunion was met with overwhelming joy as the family expressed gratitude towards the police and the local community for their compassion and assistance.
