Hey Pune peeps, exciting news for all you public transportation enthusiasts! The Pune Metro is set to expand with two new corridors in the works. The Hadapsar–Loni Kalbhor corridor will cover 11.35 km with ten stations, while the Hadapsar–Saswad corridor will span 5.57 km with four stations.

But wait, there’s more! The total project cost is a whopping ₹4,686 crore, with the state and central governments each pitching in 20% and the rest covered through loans. Metro Director Atul Gadgil is all about getting these new routes up and running, especially since they’re connected to existing corridors like Kharadi–Hadapsar and Swargate–Khadakwasla.

The delay in the project was due to some red tape with PMC needing Maha-Metro to consult with the NHAI and PMRDA. But fear not, those concerns have been addressed and we’re full steam ahead.

For all you station enthusiasts out there, here’s a breakdown of the new stops:
– Hadapsar–Loni Kalbhor Line: Hadapsar Phata, Hadapsar Bus Depot, Akashwani-Hadapsar, Laxmi Colony, Stad Farm, Manjari Phata, Draksha Baug, Toll Naka, Wak Vasti, and Loni Kalbhor.
– Hadapsar–Saswad Line: Hadapsar Bus Depot, Hadapsar Gliding Club, Fursungi IT Park, Sulabh Garden, and Saswad Road Railway Station.

So, buckle up Pune, because your metro network is about to get a major facelift! 🚇🌟 #PuneMetroExpansion #PublicTransportWin
