The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken a proactive approach to ensure the safety and well-being of participants during the Ganpati immersion procession. Immediate medical assistance will be readily available in case of emergencies, thanks to the collaboration between the Health Department of the PMC and the Public Health Department.

Medical teams, equipped with doctors, medical staff, and nurses, will be stationed at key locations such as Deccan Gymkhana and Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya on Laxmi Road on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition, the Pune Police’s Vighnaharta Nyas Foundation will also provide medical services during the event.

Emergency medical assistance teams will be strategically placed at various locations along the procession route, including Belbag Chowk, Tilak Chowk, SP College, and Gokhale Hall. The Modern Vikas Sanstha will be providing services at Vijay Talkies Chowk on Laxmi Road, while a total of 23 ambulances from the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services Department and BVG will be on standby.

Notably, a three-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been set up at Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Mandir for the first time this year. This 24-hour facility will be staffed with medical professionals and will be operational throughout the immersion procession.

To ensure a smooth and safe procession, the Health Department has issued guidelines such as limiting noise levels, maintaining distance between processional teams, and avoiding the use of laser lights. Additionally, ambulances will be given priority during the procession to ensure quick access to medical assistance.

Overall, these measures aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for participants during the Ganpati immersion procession in Pune.
