Hey there, Pune drivers! Are you tired of dodging potholes and dealing with back pain caused by uneven drainage chamber covers on the roads? Well, you’re not alone. The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Road Department has been trying to level these pesky covers to make your commute smoother.

But hold on, there’s a new twist in the tale. While re-tarring fifteen major roads, the covers of the drainage chambers sunk again, causing some of them to collapse. Talk about a bumpy ride! It seems like the Road Department might need to rethink their strategy.

Chamber covers across the city are not at the same level as the road surface, leading to accidents and headaches for drivers. Potholes are a common sight around these chambers, making navigation even more challenging. But fear not, help is on the way.

After a review meeting with some big names like Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol and MLA Chandrakant Patil, Mission 15 was born. This initiative aims to resurface 15 major city roads by the end of January, addressing potholes and encroachments along the way.

The PMC’s road department is working hard to fix the issue, scraping and re-asphalting the roads. But the real challenge lies in ensuring that the chamber covers stay in place this time. Superintendent Engineer Sahebrao Dandge has assured that a team of engineers will be on the case, surveying the roads and addressing any issues within the next eight days.

So hang in there, Pune drivers. Relief is on the way, and hopefully, your daily commute will soon be a smoother and safer experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this ongoing saga of the city’s road woes.
