Hey Pune folks, buckle up because we’ve got some important news for you! The recent discharge from dams like Khadakwasla and Mulshi has led to a rise in water levels in rivers passing through our city. This has prompted Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale to issue a urgent appeal for everyone to stay alert and take necessary precautions. Safety first, people!

If you’re in Pune and find yourself in an emergency situation, don’t hesitate to reach out to the PMC Disaster Management Unit. They’ve got your back. Just dial these numbers: 📞 020 – 25501269 📞 020 – 25506800. Stay safe out there!

Over the weekend, the release of water from Khadakwasla dam caused water levels to spike in the Deccan area. As a precaution, power supply to some areas has been cut off. In Pulachi Wadi and Premnagar, about 100 consumers are affected, while in Ektangari on Sinhagad Road, 15 consumers have lost power due to flooding.

Don’t worry, though. Pune and PMRDA fire brigades are on the scene in vulnerable areas like Ekta Nagri, Sarita Nagri, and more. They’re geared up with all the necessary rescue equipment and are giving out safety instructions through megaphones. Kudos to these brave firefighters for keeping us safe!

Commissioner Bhosale wants to assure everyone that the situation is being closely monitored. If more action is needed to protect residents and property, rest assured that authorities are ready to step in. Stay safe, Pune!
