Rajendra Bhosale, the PMC administrator, announced plans for joint drives to target encroachments and illegal constructions citywide. Staff members from the anti-encroachment department will be reassigned to support these efforts, focusing on clearing footpaths, roads, and removing illegal businesses. The PMC is also working to designate specific areas for licensed vendors in accordance with the roadside vendor policy. This crackdown follows the recent bust of a drug party at a lounge on FC Road and previous drives against illegal constructions in Pune.
