Are you tired of drinking contaminated water in Dhayari and Narhe villages? Well, worry no more because the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has come to the rescue! They have decided to connect a new water pipeline from the Vadgaon Water Purification Plant to ensure clean water supply to these areas.
Did you know that currently, these villages receive water from dams that is not properly filtered? This has led to an increase in cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) in the area, with some unfortunate souls succumbing to the illness. But fear not, PMC is here to save the day!
Dhayari, which was already part of Pune’s municipal limits, will now extend its purified water supply to the newly added areas of Dhayari and Narhe. This project will cost a whopping ₹70 crore, but it’s a small price to pay for clean drinking water, right?
But wait, there’s more! To combat the spread of GBS in the area, PMC has also installed chlorination machines at key water sources in Dhayari, Khadakwasla, Nanded, Narhe, and Kirkatwadi. These machines, costing ₹87 lakh, are expected to significantly improve water quality and reduce health risks in the affected areas.
So, cheers to PMC for taking these crucial steps towards ensuring the well-being of the residents of Dhayari and Narhe villages. Clean water is a basic necessity, and it’s heartening to see the authorities stepping up to provide it. Let’s raise a glass (of clean water, of course) to a healthier and happier future for these communities!
