Hey there, Pune peeps! Get ready to witness the grand Palkhi Ceremony of Sant Shreshta Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagatguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj in the Pune district. It’s that time of the year when devotees from all corners of Maharashtra flock to Alandi and Dehu to be a part of this spiritual event.
To make sure everyone can join in the celebrations, the PMPML has stepped up its game by increasing the number of buses heading towards Alandi and Dehu. From now until 30th June, you can catch a ride on one of the 106 buses departing from Swargate, PMC Bhavan, Hadapsar, Pune Railway Station, Nigdi, Bhosari, Hinjawadi, and Chinchwad to Alandi. And if you’re heading to Dehu, there are 30 buses available from Pune Station, PMC Bhavan, and Nigdi.
Mark your calendars for 30th June when the Palkhi Procession kicks off from Alandi. Starting at 2:30 AM, 27 buses will be ready to take you from Hadapsar, Swargate, PMC Bhavan, and Pune Railway Station to join in the festivities. The Palkhi will then make its way out of Pune on 2nd July.
For those looking to hop on a bus from Mahatma Gandhi Stand to Pune Railway Station, Warje Malwadi, Kothrud Depot, Nigdi, Chinchwad, Alandi, and other areas, rest assured that arrangements have been made for your convenience. And if you’re traveling from Shivarkar Garden to Katraj Kondhwa or from Magarpatta to Mundhwa, Chandan Nagar, and Wagholi, buses will be available for you too.
Don’t forget that the Dive Ghat road between Hadapsar and Saswad will be closed during this time. But fear not, as buses will be rerouted through Bopdev Ghat to ensure smooth travel. With an additional 60 buses in the mix, commuting between Swargate, Pune Railway Station, and Hadapsar will be a breeze.
