Hey Pune folks, have you heard the latest news about the changes in bus operations by PMPML? In light of the newly launched metro service from Swargate to Pimpri by Pune Mahametro Rail Corporation, PMPML is stepping up its game to improve connectivity and provide better services for metro passengers.

Starting from October 11, 2024, several bus routes to Swargate Metro Station will be discontinued. So, if you’re a regular commuter on these routes, here’s what you need to know:

1. Metro Shuttle No. 13: The service from Upper Depot to Civil Court Shivajinagar is getting the axe. But don’t worry, you can still expect a smooth journey with increased frequency on alternative routes.

2. Bus Route No. 38: Say goodbye to the connection from Dhankawadi to Na Ta Wadi to Swargate Metro Station. However, the service will be amped up to 68 trips, making it more convenient for you.

3. Bus Route No. 216: If you’re used to traveling from Bharti Vidyapeeth to Shivaji Nagar, you’ll now need to switch buses at Swargate Metro Station. But hey, with an increase to 32 trips, you won’t have to wait too long for the next one.

4. Bus Route No. 297: Good news for those traveling from Rajesh Society to Shivaji Nagar – this route will now include a service to Swargate Metro Station as well, with an average frequency of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

PMPML is urging everyone, from students to workers to women, to make use of these improved bus services. With more frequent buses and better connectivity between bus and metro services, your daily commute is about to get a whole lot easier.

So, get ready to enjoy the benefits of increased frequency, streamlined connectivity, and convenient travel options with the revamped bus routes in Pune. Let’s make public transportation in Pune more efficient and commuter-friendly together!
