Hey Pune folks, have you heard the latest news about the PMPML? They’re opening five new bus depots in Hinjawadi, Charholi, Bhosari, Moshi, and Ravet! This is great news for public transportation in the area, as it will strengthen the bus network in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and surrounding areas.

The decision to open these new depots came after Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar instructed the DPC to improve public transport facilities. The PMRDA has already leased land at Bhosari, Ravet, and Moshi to PMPML, with an agreement in place.

According to PMPML Joint Managing Director Nitin Narvekar, these new depots will greatly enhance public transport operations in the region. Ravet will have a CNG bus depot, while Moshi and Bhosari will have e-depots for electric buses. Hinjawadi and Charholi will have depots built on existing land.

These new depots will also have larger parking spaces, allowing for more buses to be accommodated in one place. This will optimize fleet management and operations, improving last-mile connectivity and reducing congestion across the Pune Metropolitan Region.

Overall, this expansion is expected to enhance public transport efficiency and make commuting easier for residents in the area. Exciting times ahead for public transportation in Pune!
