Alright folks, buckle up because PMRDA is back at it again with their anti-encroachment campaign in Pune! In the first phase, they managed to clear out a whopping 2,500 unauthorized structures, covering a massive 2.5 lakh square feet of space along highways and key roads. Now, they’re gearing up for round two from March 17 to March 30.

This time around, PMRDA has set its sights on major highways like Pune-Nashik, Pune-Solapur, Pune-Mumbai, and Pune-Satara. These areas have been plagued by illegal structures causing major traffic congestion, and the authorities are not having it.

They’ve got their eyes on locations like Navle Bridge to Sarole, Shevalwadi to Dive Ghat, and the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur road, just to name a few. And guess what? They’re not doing this alone. PMC and PCMC are joining forces to tackle this issue head-on.

PMRDA Commissioner Yogesh Mhase is urging residents and business owners to voluntarily remove any unauthorized structures to avoid the dreaded forced demolition. The campaign involves multiple agencies like PWD, NHAI, MSRDC, MSEDCL, and the local police to ensure smoother and safer roads for everyone.

So, folks, let’s all do our part and cooperate with the officials to make Pune a better place to drive around. Let’s keep those roads clear and traffic-free!
