Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Pune today as the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has kicked off a major drive to clear encroachments from highways and city roads to tackle traffic congestion. They mean business, folks!

In a joint effort with other government agencies, PMRDA has already removed a whopping 201 encroachments from three major routes, reclaiming a massive 20,100 square feet of road space. And guess what? This operation just began today and will be going on for a whole month. Talk about commitment!

The PMRDA is on a mission to make Pune’s roads encroachment-free within just 30 days. They’re cracking down on unauthorized constructions, shops, and temporary structures along national and state highways, and they’re not messing around.

On the first day of the drive, they cleared out encroachments from over 20,000 square feet of land along Pune-Nashik Highway, Pune-Solapur Highway, and Chandni Chowk-Paud Road. And they’re not stopping there, folks!

A whole bunch of government agencies like PMC, NHAI, Pune Police, and more are all working together on this massive clearance drive. The big shots leading the charge are PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase and Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil. They’re not messing around, folks!

If you’re an encroacher, you better watch out because the authorities are coming for you. They’re clearing out roads like Hadapsar to Yavat, Uruli Kanchan to Shindwane, Rajgurunagar on Nashik Road, and more. And they’re not stopping until every last encroachment is gone.

The NHAI has even issued a warning to clear out encroachments along service roads on Pune-Satara, Pune-Solapur, and Pune-Nashik highways immediately. They’re not taking any excuses, folks!

So, if you’re an encroacher, it’s time to pack up and move out because the authorities are on a roll. Let’s hope this drive brings some relief to Pune’s traffic congestion. Stay tuned for more updates!
