1. PMRDA, PMC, NHAI, local police, MSRDC, and PWD have come together for a 30-day crackdown on unauthorized shops and structures along national and state highways in Pune.
  2. On Monday, PMRDA teams cleared a total of 20,100 square feet of encroachments, including 78 on Pune-Nashik Road, 70 on Pune-Solapur Road, and 53 on Chandni Chowk-Paud Road.
  3. Individuals with unauthorized shops and structures along highways are urged to voluntarily remove them to avoid enforcement actions.
  4. Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase is overseeing the initiative, along with officials from various agencies, including Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil and Superintendent of Police Amol Tambe.
  5. The encroachment removal drive will continue over the next 30 days to improve traffic flow and urban development in Pune.
