Traffic congestion in the Navale Bridge area of Narhe was dealt with today as the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) took action to remove encroachments. In an operation carried out at 7 AM, 25 illegally constructed tin sheds were dismantled to ease the flow of traffic in the area. PMRDA has urged individuals to refrain from unauthorized construction to avoid causing further congestion.
The Illegal Construction (Demolition) Department of PMRDA has been actively working to remove unauthorized constructions in the region, with a focus on structures that contribute to traffic issues. Today, a team from PMRDA removed 25 tin sheds that were illegally constructed in the Navale Bridge area.
The operation was led by PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Superintendent of Police Amol Tambe, Joint Commissioner Dr. Deepti Suryawanshi-Patil, and other officials including Deputy Collector Pramod Kudale and Tehsildar Sachin Mhaske. The team also included police and fire department personnel, as well as Junior Engineers Vishnu Awhad, Ganesh Jadhav, and Abhinav Londhe.
A survey of constructions, including unauthorized hoardings, is currently underway within the PMRDA limits, with action being taken to remove them. Property owners are reminded to obtain proper permission before carrying out any construction and to immediately cease any unauthorized work. PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase is optimistic that today’s action will help alleviate the traffic congestion issue in the Navale Bridge area.
