The PMRDA in Pune is cracking down on illegal hoardings in Hinjawadi, with a giant 60X40 ft billboard being taken down on Wakad-Hinjawadi Road. This is just the latest in a series of actions, with a 40X40 ft hoarding removed on Wednesday as well.

The decision to remove these illegal hoardings comes after a tragic incident in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, where a massive hoarding collapsed and caused casualties and property damage. In response, the PMRDA is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of residents and commuters in Pune.

Sachin Mhaske, an officer in the Sky Sign Department of PMRDA, stated that hoarding owners who have applied for permission will be reviewed, but any hoardings put up without authorization will be torn down. The authority is committed to enforcing regulations and maintaining safety standards in the region.
