Kalyani Nagar experienced a power disruption today due to a fire caused by a gas leak from an MNGL pipeline near Bishop’s School in Ramwadi. The incident affected around 3500 customers for 45 minutes before MSEDCL engineers were able to restore power. The feeder pillar, designed as a backup system, was engulfed in flames from the pipeline, leading to the power outage. MSEDCL took quick action to isolate the underground channels and restart the closed power line at the sub-station. The company has filed a complaint with the police station to address the issue further.
