Hey there, Pune peeps! Exciting news coming your way! The Pravin Masalewale Trust is all set to honor some incredible individuals with the prestigious ‘Suhana Kamal Awards’. At a recent press conference, Trustee Vishal Chordia spilled the beans on who will be receiving these coveted awards.
First up, we have the ‘Suhana Kamal Lifetime Achievement Award’ being bestowed upon Arnavaz Damania, a remarkable Social Worker and former national hockey player. How cool is that?
But wait, there’s more! Sister Lucy Kurien, the founder of Maher Ashram, will be receiving the ‘Suhana Kamal Service Award’. And let’s not forget about Komal Wagaskar of Artemis Tech Pvt. Ltd, who will be taking home the ‘Suhana Kamal Entrepreneurship Award’. And how about a round of applause for Snehal and Devanand Londhe of Payod Industries from Sangli, who will be honored with the ‘Suhana Kamal Couple Entrepreneurship Award’?
The award ceremony is all set to take place on Thursday, 29th August 2024 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Hall on Ghole Road. The awards will be presented by none other than Padma Bhushan Dr S. B. Mujumdar. Oh, and did I mention that Natrang movie fame actress Sonali Kulkarni will also be gracing the occasion with her presence?
Vishal Chordia shared that the inspiration behind these awards comes from the legacy of the late Hukumchand (Bhau) Chordia and the late Kamalbai Chordia (Bai), who started the Pravin Masalewale brand over six decades ago. Their commitment to quality and customer service has truly made a mark in the industry.
And to ensure that these awards are given out impartially, the Trust has assembled an organizing and selection committee comprising some esteemed individuals, including former MP Vandana Chavan, senior social activist Nirmala Samant-Prabhavalkar, and veteran actress Nishigandha Wad.
